Lately, I've been busy preparing myself for the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) London music examination. I chose the piano instrument and I will take the 8th grade this year.. Probably, October or November - the schedule's not published yet.. My fingers are always aching everytime I finish practicing.. The pieces are so hard for me... Know what? I suck! I can't play piano well, and I'm so not talanted in that!
8th grade exam is super-hard.. it's the last grade i have to take before taking my diploma exam.. Seriously.. Here's the pieces I chose to play in the exam:
- Sonata in B, Kp. 262 by Scarlatti
- Molto Allegro : 1st movement from Sonata in C minor, K. 457 by Mozart
- Prelude in C sharp minor, Op. 45 No. 25 by Chopin
Those pieces are as hard as peeling your hand!! Seriously!!
One of my friends said "Feli, you're serious you wanna take the exam this year? It's super hard!" And I began to doubt myself. I mean.. How if i didn't pass? Even if I pass.. I don't want just pass! I wanna pass in distinction or as a High-Scorer if I can! But it's kinda impossible seeing me now..
But now it's too late! My mom had registered me for this year's exam. So all i can do is just practice as hard as I can!
See that piano picture.. well it's obviously not mine.. My piano's ugly.. haha.. I just love that picture. I hope that someday I'll have a piano like that. A grand piano. Stanway. Haha. But I need to do a lot of work before it comes true.. Haha..
